　　Yang Li: But why does she choose Paris? Here is Julie Delpy again:

　　Yes I am a French woman living in America, and I visit my family in Paris often. But I’ve never had this experience – like in the film – like visiting with a boyfriend and everything goes wrong. You know, it’s never happened. It’s kind of like a fantasy of my own paranoia of what could go really really wrong if I brought my boyfriend to Paris for 48 hours – like what is the worst possible scenario – and that’s kind of like the movie.

　　Yang Li: She said it’s like a fantasy of her own paranoia of what could really go wrong if she brought her boyfriend to Paris.

　　Oliver: Fantasy 幻想。她的意思就是说她试图在影片当中描述她幻想的在现实当中可能出现的最坏的结果。

　　Yang Li: When everything goes wrong you could say it’s the worst possible scenario. But think of it, it really requires extraordinary talents to do all the roles for a film, doesn't it?

　　Oliver: 没错儿，但是听起来她自己倒是满享受工作的过程的，从最开始到影片完成。

　　I just, as I was doing the film, I just realised that editing is half the movie – it’s like – especially for a comedy. It creates the timing, the rhythm. You know, you can flatten the joke by not doing a good job with editing that scene. And I just felt it could be good for my first film - so I do everything from beginning to end. The music composing was kind of like an accident, basically. Because - I watched the film as I was editing it and I realised there was moments where it felt a little empty and that it would be fun to have a little music there. So I was editing in a little room in my little house in LA and then I went to my office and I started writing music and brought it back and tried it on.
