　　Neil: Welcome to BBC Learning English, my name’s Neil.

　　Jean: 大家好，我是董征。

　　Neil: Well Jean, you must be so proud.

　　Jean: Proud? Why do you say that? Neil 他说我应该现在感到很自豪，这是为什么呢？

　　Neil: Because your brother is playing for Manchester United!

　　Jean: My brother? What are you talking about?

　　Neil: Dong! Dong has played his first game for Manchester United!

　　Jean: Neil, Dong is not my brother – it’s a very common surname in China! Neil 以为董方卓是我弟弟呢，不过我们姓董的在中国可多了，不会都是一家人啊。

　　Neil: Oh, OK Jean. Anyway, we’re talking about Dong’s Manchester United debut. Debut.

　　Jean:首演，首次亮相。

　　Neil: It’s spelt d-e-b-u-t but pronounced “day – byoo”.

　　Jean: Hmmm, that’s strange.

　　Neil: Well, it’s a French word actually, which we use in English, that’s quite common.
