BBC Learning English - James Blunt 詹姆斯•布朗特
Yeah it was, it was great fun actually. You’re always told that London audiences are tougher than elsewhere around the country; you’re always told that they’re more subdued but actually they were great.
Diarmuid: He was touring the UK in January and he was told that London audiences were tougher and more subdued.
Yang Li: subdued 安静,低沉的 tougher 比较难对付的。
Diarmuid: But, having performed in London, he thinks that the audiences were great.
Yang Li: Next, he talks about how much he enjoyed touring.

I have a pretty good job with it really. I write songs because I need to, because it’s a form of expression – and to record songs is the only way I can stop them being in my head really, to document them. But to go on tour, for me, is the most amazing form of communication. Music is – I can sing in Japan and Mexico and people don’t necessarily understand the words but they understand the feeling behind it – and for me it’s one of the best forms of communication that humans have.
Diarmuid: He said that he writes songs because it is a form of expression.
