　　Helen: It means lots of extra things you can add on to a product to make it special.

　　Oliver: 这个俗语的意思就是你可以给你的产品附加上的东西。比如我的手机里就有很多我不知道怎么用的功能，我可以说我的手机有很多铃铛和哨子吗?

　　Helen: Yes, you can. Your phone has lots of bells and whistles. And here, Amanda means that some dresses have lots of extra designs on them, but that could be too much, and not a good thing.

　　Oliver: Let’s hear from Amanda again.

　　I don’t think it’s just about the dress, I think it’s the whole image. It’s matching the dress to the celebrity, it’s the celebrity getting their hair right, their make up right, their jewellery, their shoes, their accessories right, as well as the fabulous dress. It doesn’t have to be bells and whistles – in fact that’s when it can go very very wrong.
